Possible gas explosion kills 2 in Kyiv.

An explosion at a logistics company in the Holosiivskyi district of Kyiv killed at least two people on Sept. 8, the State Emergency Service reported.
The explosion partially destroyed the company’s two-story building. People inside the building at the time of the explosion were trapped under the rubble.
As of 1:30 p.m. local time, rescuers had retrieved two bodies from the rubble.
The State Emergency Service first reported that the accident was caused by a gas leak explosion and was not related to any Russian attack.
Later in the day, local authorities denied the explosion was caused by a gas leak, as the building was not connected to gas infrastructure, according to the Kyivgaz, Kyiv’s gas distribution company.
The confusion was caused by the fact that the Kyivgaz emergency service received a report of an explosion of “an unknown mixture” in the Holosiivskyi district. The real causes of the accident will be disclosed after an investigation is completed, the Kyiv City Council said.
Rescue and search operations continue as more people may still be trapped.
